Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Island is just a scenic 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle. Rustic charm with lively winding roads and gardens make this island community a favorite stop. It is rich in History; once the largest lumber mill and ship building port in the world. It is best know today for its lively artistic community, Performing Arts Center, arts and crafts galleries, several wineries and tasting rooms, a distillery and some of the Northwest’s best restaurants.

The Island’s 20,000+ residents call the 36 square mile island home and enjoy its convenient access to Seattle, its gentle rolling hills, miles of pristine seashore, spectacular views, and rich heritage. There is plenty to do; hiking, biking (the Chilly Hilly race in April attracts over 3000 cyclists), kayaking, boating, equestrian trails, and 3 golf courses. The Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour in mid July attracts people from around the country.
