Poulsbo

Poulsbo ( “Little Norway”) is known for its rosemaled storefronts. Enjoy dozens of quaint shops with everything from European chocolates, fabulous bakeries, handmade ice cream, to some of Kitsap’s best restaurants. Rent a kayak or electric boat and explore scenic Liberty Bay, or relax along the waterfront park and 600 foot boardwalk with its striking Olympic Mountain views. Look for seals, herons and eagles. There are dozens of festivals and celebrations that the town hosts, from Viking Fest in May to Yule Fest and the Christmas Boat Parade in December. Those crazy Norwegians celebrate the Fourth of July with a spectacular firework display on the Third. The Port of Poulsbo’s guest marina is open year round with 130 visitor slips about half can be reserved.
